When I was a young woman, I didn't really think of death. But if you had asked me to think of a word I associated with death, I would have come up with something interminably unimaginative, like "sadness". Or "grief".

Pretty sure it's an American recipe. But they call them German pancakes, or Dutch pancakes. (I think they see DEUTSCH and leap to conclusions, but this is the country that can't cope with long words like PHILOSOPHER so what do you expect.)
