It Began As A Mistake

Welp, crap.

I guess I should say sorry for that, and of course, I am, well, mostly. I mean, it really wasn't like you didn't expect someone to, well, you know, and I don't know, I just couldn't help myself. You know, it might bring you some comfort in knowing that it was me and not some random stranger that did it. In that case, you're welcome, seriously sweetie, it was my pleasure.

Honestly, it was a lot like an out of body experience. I kept saying to myself, "self, you really shouldn't do this", but my "self" is a rebel and can be pretty persuasive, and as you know, I can be pretty easily pursuaded.. so after a bit of contemplating, well, I did it anyway. In hindsight, well, I'd probably, undoubtedly, might still do it again, sorry, I'm weak.

But rest assured, as soon as I did it, I had an overwhelming feeling of guilt. Well, more kindred to regret, well maybe more like I should be feeling a little guilty, and I boy did I...eventually. Okay, I WILL feel guily, I promise.

If you wanted to know the whole truth, it was kind of a hoot, I mean I knew it would be fun, all the signs were there, but I had no idea it would be one of the best things, uh, worst mistakes, choices, bad choices, I have ever made. And although it took a minute or two, I am really remorseful now, mostly.

I nearly spit my soda out the other night as I was reflecting on it, but as I gained my composure, I realized the best thing for me to do was apologize to you. And I did, rather, I am/will, right after I reach a million views on TicToc. Man, people are loving my video of it, I may even have snagged a date out of it...thanks to you. Well, you know.

I'm sorry, that seems really inappropriate to say, you know, in light of the fact that this is supposed to be an apology. Don't get me wrong though, it is! An apology, I mean.

I just wanted you to know how much I have enjoyed sharing my mistake with some of my closest and favorite strangers online.

I would celebrate harder if I didn't feel so bad about erasing the lines of your suggested boundaries in our close friendship. Maybe when I don't feel so badly about this act of delightful yet unsensitive betrayal, I will be able to express my excitement better, so you can celebrate with me...

Okay, I think I have covered all the bases in this apology, and I hope that you can see in this letter, my best and most sincere attempt to clear up any misunderstanding we might have had.

Friends, good friends like me, are hard to come by and I wouldn't want anything to come between us.

Please know that this was a one time misjudgement call on my part and I hope you are able to forgive and forget, because grudges, unlike online videos, should not last forever.

My biggest regret is that you aren't in it.
