Hi All:

I hope that you enjoy the following poem. It demonstrates a time when God showed up in my life in an unexpected and miraculous way when I needed him most.

The Miraculous Intervention by Tiffany Gordon

January 2024, a devastating call arrived. My father's earthly journey was no more; naturally, his sudden departure cut me to the core.

This somber event arrived in a season when the contents of my piggy bank were dangerously low, but little did I know that God would soon cause my limited finances to expand and flow.

Anxious thoughts bombarded my mind like enemy fire. I am grateful that in that moment my faith never grew tired.

How would I afford to attend my dad's out-of-state funeral on monetary fumes? And as far as lodging was concerned, would out-of-state family, whom I barely knew, offer me a room?

It was after midnight that evening when I prayed and then went to bed, utterly oblivious to the small miracle that lay just ahead.

A few days later a surprise six hundred dollar settlement check arrived in the mail, and out of my financial deficit, I was miraculously bailed.

My answered prayer double-stitched the fabric of my faith that day while reminding me that The Most High ultimately calls every play.

Author's note: During a recent season of bereavement God intervened in my life and sent a last-minute financial gift that ended up strengthening my faith in his covering and his faithfulness while leaving me in complete awe of His power. His kind gesture made me feel uber-special, like a child of seven on their birthday. I never realized that one small answered prayer in the form of a monetary gift would further strengthen my faith in the unseen and reteach me that God sees all and that He has the power to make a way when there seems to be no way.

Interestingly enough, this was not the first time that God unexpectedly sent a monetary gift my way, but it was a lot more impactful this time around because it was provided to me during a specific time of need. They say that the Lord works in mysterious ways; I'm so elated and grateful that He remembered me during my season of bereavement & concernment.

Here are some special memories & highlights from my trip down south to my dad's funeral. I will cherish these precious memories forever!

During my trip:

πŸ’ I had the privilege of paying my respects to my dad. I also got to hug and love on, take pics with, and fellowship in person with members of my dad's side of the family, including family members that I never even knew existed and some that only existed via my Facebook feed. :)

πŸ’ I was able to learn more about the culture of and the geography of my dad's hometown.

πŸ’ I was treated to a yummy Whataburger, a popular delicacy in the Lone Star State and something that they don't have back home in the Northwest.

πŸ’ I was afforded the opportunity to learn things about my father that I never knew, like the fact that he was once so skilled in basketball that he was invited to tryout with an NBA team.

πŸ’ I had the privilege of encouraging other grievers by reminding them that Dad had graduated from this life and had essentially earned his right to the next.

πŸ’ In another stroke of divinely-guided luck, a family member gifted me $200 right outside of my father's repass, stating that God told her to give it to me.

πŸ’ Lastly, while in the city of Atlanta on a layover, I was able to see genuine MLK memorabilia that lives in one of the local airports. The airport had a Popeyes as well, which is really cool! Lol

Thanks so much for stopping by to read my 'Small Win' challenge entry, Vocal Family! Happy Resurrection Day!

Much love to you all,
