A Distant Home

Return to Rowany Festival

By Natasja RosePublished about 13 hours ago 1 min read

Each year in April, a weeklong fair

Rowany Festival once more returns

Clear skies or stormy, you’ll find me there

In a market stall shaded from the sun

*

Books, dolls and belt pouches

Mornings manning the Gate

Bacon and egg sandwiches

Eaten around a new campfire

*

A feeling like returning home

Yet this home doesn’t belong to me

It is home comprised of others

Where everyone can simply be
