A Toast to Family & Friends Gone but Not Forgotten

Glasses lifted high,

in the flicker of light,

we spoke their names softly,

and held them tight.

Their laughter echoed,

through rooms we now fill,

their voices a whisper,

that bends time to will.

We drank to the moments,

we shared in the past,

to memories lasting,

to love that will last.

Gone from our sight,

but never our hearts,

we toast to their spirits,

and keep them in parts.

Candles burned slowly,

on tables they loved,

their presence felt softly,

from heavens above.

Stories repeated,

as tears and smiles met,

we laughed through our sorrow,

never once to forget.

We raise every glass,

to the lives that remain,

their echoes our comfort,

through joy and through pain.
