Changes in the Wind
You can’t see it you just feel it

Changes in the Wind
Something shifts without a sound,
The room feels thinner than before.
Familiar things look slightly wrong,
Like they have moved a little more.
Conversations trail off early,
Eyes no longer meet the same.
Even silence has a texture now,
Heavy with an unnamed change.
The wind carries older questions,
Things I thought I’d left behind.
Memories surface without warning,
Arriving sharp and unkind.
Not all change arrives as healing,
Some just teaches how to stand.
How to breathe through disappointment,
And loosen what you planned.
I learn to read the signs more slowly,
The way leaves turn before they fall.
Change does not explain itself,
It simply calls.

I've been writing poetry since the age of 10. With pen in hand, I wander the realms unseen. The pen holds power; ink reveals thoughts. A poet may speak truth or weave a tale. You decide. Let pen and ink capture you ❤️#Marie381UkWrites

Change can be subtle, can be drastic. We got to adapt.
