Unveiling
A piece about reclaiming personal power, setting boundaries, and letting go. An embodied and paced descent into the depths and rhythms of our emotionality. An exploration of hurt and reflection along a broader journey to honesty—the evolution from disillusionment to self-empowerment—only to resurface into awareness, revealing the process of transformation. It introduces vulnerability by way of change, self-expression, release, and renewal, and with clear reclamation. Layered, introspective, and ever-so whimsical, this prose highlights the movement through hardship into self-empowerment. The writer hopes to invite curiosity, thoughtfulness, and connection. This is not a romanticization of pain, nor is it a therapeutic how-to. It is simply, my truth.

Delightfully delicious… I can feel the warmth.
This is the perfect entry for the challenge. A small source of heat. This transported me back to winter days as a child, coming in from sledding and having mom hand me a warm cup of cocoa. Cupping it my hands and breathing in the sweet warmth, feeling the hot liquid seep through my veins with every careful sip. Absolutely brilliant.
Good grief, Rachel. Boy did you get maximum emotional resonance from 17 syllables! Stunning haiku! Good luck on the challenge!
One of those winter delights it is so easy to take for granted, given fresh sweetness by your haiku!
Well-wrought, Rachel, on both Haiku!
Ah, now I have to make one cup of hot chocolate for myself. Loved your haiku Rachel ❤️
I love hot chocolate too! Not enough cold for it here in Tbilisi, though, but I am not complaining at all.
Mmmm, sooo yummy hehehehehe
