The screaming.

The vomit.

The blood.

As I lay down that night.

I never thought I would see you again.

Your breath.

Your warmth.

The love we shared.

Too afraid to call an ambulance.

Panic as I wrap up a wounded arm.

Sopping it up with towels.

The kitchen floor a mess.

You loved me.

And I loved you.

A memory I will hold until the day I pass.

I am so happy you are still alive.

Ooo, this one is terrifying! This is one of those memories that never really leaves your body but also that makes you hold people tighter after. ✨
