What ‘defines’ us as a person?

It is not the circumstances we live in.

It is the decisions we make

and how we ‘react’

to the circumstances we live in.

We must never let anything or anyone

dictate how we should live,

but we need to take control

of our lives as we want to.

We live in a world

surrounded by people and events,

and it is up to us

how we ‘respond’ to these.

We want to lead our own lives

and not let others

take that control away from us.

We know the saying:

“I am the master of my fate, I am the captain of my soul”

We have the power

to individually overcome obstacles

that do come our way.

Only we as individuals

can rise above our circumstances

proving who we really are.

Our lives are in our hands today,

and what we need to remember

is that our ‘decisions’ will affect our futures.

The power to shape our own destinies

is in our own hands.

Let’s make our lives full

of determination, joy and happiness

today and tomorrow.
