Saying It Plainly, I am Poetically Busted
As Submitted To The Say It Plainly Challenge

I do care
I swear
It was an affair
That made you glare
A deadly stare
Can we clear the air?
And maybe compare
What is cheating and fair?
Please listen
As I explain the uncomfortable position
About someone who invaded
Created
Tension
Got our attention
Sending a message
Time for a confession
Seductively dress
Tempting test
Natural biological rest
Planted and seeded
And needed
I didn’t mean it
I swear
Please no more deadly glare
With that stare
Your eyes once were
Lovely as a mink fur
Now they have a look to kill
And I must pay this wrongful bill
I will mow the lawn
Dusk to dawn
Giving you a lift
Buying a forgiveness gift
Suggestion could be
You and me
Relax enjoy some tea
I know I deserve the third degree
You know what, I will go up the neighbor's tree
Watch the girl next door
Who works over, at the liquor store
Selling products that gets one drunk
Then you think I am a romantic hunk
Please do not leave
And go home to brother Steve
Instead
Let's play our favorite album and remember why we wed
Seeing blessed beauty together
Retiring wearing our favorite lace and leather
Confident we both survived this horrendous weather
