A poem about love?

One person.

One laugh.

One glance.

I cannot have.

I was given one rule

And one rule only.

Do not fall for that boy!

I should’ve let those words control me.

Because now I’ve done the dumb thing.

Now I’ve fallen deep.

I cut off that distraction

And now I am fully indulgent in my defeat.

What a poorly balanced dance we play.

One wrong move and it crashes down

Because I am a cunning, calculated, fool

And as everyone says you are an asshole in a crown.

But this uncertainty feels like the easiest this I’ve ever done

And so what if it all goes to hell?

If it does, I would be falling with you, for you.

And knowing that… I sleep well.
