The One Who Waited Through Fire
He stayed by my side and took away my fear

The One Who Waited Through Fire
You stood with me
Flames at our backs
Your hand held mine
Fear eased away
Love stayed bright
A quiet warm glow
Your voice reached me
Guiding my steps
Old hate stirred
Shadows in mind
You saw through all
Your calm stayed firm
Comfort drew near
Heat lost its bite
My chest unbound
Light filled the air
Misery lingered small
Tears hung in place
You did not leave
You stayed close
Joy woke again
Thin but real
Ash settled quiet
Hope took form
Love grew deep
Carved through pain
Your strength held true
My heart leaned in
Fire turned memory
Warm but distant
Your hand stayed sure
The road cleared ahead

I've been writing poetry since the age of 10. With pen in hand, I wander the realms unseen. The pen holds power; ink reveals thoughts. A poet may speak truth or weave a tale. You decide. Let pen and ink capture you ❤️#Marie381UkWrites
