There's A Heart Attached to It

There's A Heart There Too...

This Poem Slowly Enters the Man's Atmosphere While He is Tormented by the music of 'A Funeral March of Marionette' by Charles Gounod

Heart pounds like a thousand Djembe Drums in unison

as you lay there and you drown in the thing that you did

Didn't think that it would return to you

the thing that you did...

her heart was yours

as was the flower of her virgin flower

and you re-arranged that

took that

discarded that

as a man does with trash

never to do her honor anymore

never to grace her doorstep as you once did

before the deed...

but her heart stops at your window and you see it

her de-flowered flower calls to you

and you hear it...

close the blinds and curtains

but it invades your home

her moaning, her angst, her love

her heart, and her de-flowered flower

all come to see you

Didn't think that it would return to you

the thing that you did...

a thousand miles away you are

but her moaning, her angst, her love

and her deflowered flower

have come

and she's found you

She's here

her heart, her angst, her moan,

and her deflowered flower...

bragging rights

macho

march yo' cliche'd machismo out the way

for she is here

her heart, her angst, her moan

and her de-flowered flower...

Didn't think it would return to you

the thing that you did...

and you shout, Get Out!

but her heart beats louder that your shouting

as does her moan

but her de-flowered flower is serious business

and needs tending too

and it is here with you and it won't leave...

her heartbeat, her moan, have grown

and take over your home

and you too

and you cry and you shout

because her heart, her angst, her moan, and her love, have found you...

and so has her de-flowered flower...there's a heart attached to that too.
