Top Story No Chance

Why is it getting so hard, I ponder and sigh,

To reach that Top Story, as the days drift by?

On vocal.media, it feels like a game,

Where talent is met with an elusive fame.

I see my poems, cooked with utmost care,

Yet somehow they vanish, lost in thin air.

Each word that I craft is a piece of my soul,

But still, I am overlooked, and it takes its toll.

Try as I will, it seems I cannot scale

The heights of that hill where the top stories hail.

A pool of bright voices, all seeking a place,

Yet my heart aches with longing, in this crowded space.

But still, I will write, for my passion won't wane,

And though the path hides, I’ll dance in the rain.

For each verse holds a promise, a flicker of light,

And maybe one day, my words will take flight.
