I Got In My Car And Headed To Work.
The Sky Opened Up With A Downpour Of Rain.
I Turned On The Wipers, But It Made Matters Worse.
I Rolled To A Stop At That Darn Stubborn Train.
I Checked The Side Streets For A Way Around.
But Each One I Checked, They All Seemed The Same.
Rain Came Down Like Under Niagara.
As Gates Dropped Again For That Lingering Train.
Minutes Ticked By And Streets Turned To Rivers.
A Long Line Of Cars Stretched Like Links In A Chain.
My Head Was Pounding Like Beat Of Drums,
At The Clanking Sounds Of That Lingering Train.
I Thought I Could Simply Just Turn Around.
I’d Call Off Of Work With Nothing To Gain.
I’d Kick Off My Shoes And Go Back To Bed.
But My Way Was Blocked. I Still Face The Train.
The Monster Before Slowed To A Crawl.
I Tell You This Day Was Hurting My Brain.
The Clouds Continued To Pour Down It’s Load.
And There It Still Waited, That Slow Crawling Train.
I Saw The Caboose, A Joy To Take In.
The Sun Came Out, The End Of The Rain.
But The Gates Stayed Down, I Did Not Know Why.
The Was Another Track, Another Train.
I Swear I Won’t Go Through All This Again.
I’d Rather Have Venom Flow Through My Veins.
Tomorrow I’m Leaving The Car At Home.
I Won’t Be Stressed Out. I’m Taking The Train.
