Why do you "exist" in my life?

If the time comes that "you" will see this poem, please know that the pain is still there. But don't worry, we're still cool.

I kept asking myself:

Why does it have to be you?

Are you doing it on purpose?

I have always been alone since;

Not looking for anything,

Even seeking for nothing.

But when you came in,

I admired how innocent you looked like,

Your manly voice and gestures.

I was surprised that knew;

Was it because of how I treated you

Or you heard it from someone we both know?

Then I thought ‘we’ had a chance

‘til you said the words that broke me:

“I am in a relationship.”

My heart was shattered

I almost had no face to show you.

Can I just disappear every time you are near?

Then I suddenly realized:

You exist in my life to show me how to love;

To show me that I am still capable to love.

Now, I can say that I am finally fine.

Seeing you now is tolerable

And talking to you is now a piece of cake.
