The Disappearance of Johnny Gosch
Johnny Gosch was 12-years-old when he disappeared in 1982 while running his paper route to earn extra money. Johnny woke up before sunrise to deliver his papers in West Des Moines, always making certain they arrived on time. Everyone in the neighborhood could depend on Johnny. Johnny’s parents knew something was amiss on September 5th when neighbors called their home to complain that their paper had not yet arrived.

Skin of Her Teeth: The Murder of Tina Mott
Tim Bradford used 19 knives and a meat cleaver to murder and dismember his girlfriend, Tina Mott. He removed all of her teeth from the skull and flushed her organs down the toilet, both acts committed to throw off investigators in identifying her body. Two teens fishing in a lake discovered the skull, flesh tissue still attached, which helped solve the case and send Bradford away for 25-years.

Hoax Phone Call Leads to Sexual Assault of McDonald's Employee
Between 1994 and 2004, an unknown person claiming to be a police officer placed more than 30 hoax calls to McDonald’s and other restaurants. The caller instructed employees and managers to perform strip searches and sexual assaults against each other. Many of the hoax calls occurred in Kentucky.

In October 2024, Indianapolis man Raymond Ronald Lee Childs III, 17, was found guilty of six counts of murder, one count of attempted murder, and one count of carrying a handgun without a license after a mass shooting spree that left six of his family members, including his father and stepmom, dead in January 2021.

Gizzy Ford: Abused to Death by Grandmother Through Father's Instruction . Content Warning.
Andre Ford, a disabled, unemployed felon, lived with a rare degenerative disorder that left him with a disfigured appearance and dependent on a wheelchair. The disorder also led to a fatal heart attack in 2014, which allowed him to escape this world far too easily before a court could sentence him to prison for the horrific child abuse murder of his daughter, Gizelle Ford.

Woman Didn't Realize Boyfriend Had Shot Her in the Head Two Months Earlier
In the spring of 2017, Nicole Gordan suddenly began having headaches -terrible headaches accompanied by slurred speech and memory loss. Gordon went to the doctor about a month into the symptoms, hopeful she’d find out the cause and get treatment going. That’s when she learned shocking news: she’d been shot and bullet fragments were lodged in her head. Gordon had no recollection of a gun ever being pointed in her direction, much less ever getting shot.

The Lynching of George Armwood
On October 18, 1933, a mob of 2,000 or more white people from the town of Princess Anne, Maryland, beat, hanged, dragged, and burned a Black man named George Armwood, to death. The intellectually-disabled man had been accused of assaulting and raping the 71-year-old mother of a local police officer. He was 22 or 23 years old at the time.

Remembering the Youngest Victims of the 9/11 Terrorist Attacks
September 11, 2001, remains one of the darkest days in American history, changing the country forever. Terrorists attacked the World Trade Center towers in New York City by airplane in a series of four consecutive attacks, claiming the lives of 2,996 people. The tragedy claimed the lives of innocent people of every age and background and from all walks of life. The loss of life is always sad but when kids die as the result of senseless adult decisions, the tragedy seems far worse. These children are the victims of the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
