To the Relentless One
Dear Mr. Jeffrey Preston Bezos, You are not a doctor. You are not a nurse. You are not a first responder. Yet, without you and other captains of industry, there would be none of the aforementioned roles to speak of at all. Your greed and selfishness have empowered hundreds of thousands of employees, engaged millions of other businesses to negotiate, and entertained, enlightened and enthralled billions of people around the world with your work through Amazon or as I like to call it,“Jeff Bezos’ Everything Store,” and other firms.

Reason First: Man Shot in Wilmington, Delaware, News Outlets Still Have Time for Crime Stories
A $233,000 cash-only bail signaled that crime continues despite outbreaks, quarantines, and PPE and ventilator shortages. 28-year-old Andre Davis received the cold bracelets of justice by the Wilmington, Delaware police in relation to allegedly shooting a 52-year-old man. The police charged Davis with first-degree attempted murder, first-degree robbery, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by a person prohibited and receiving a stolen firearm.

Reason First: A Champion’s Woes
Although Floyd Mayweather Jr. may hold a perfect record in the ring after win after win, his personal life has seen some more losses. In addition to being incarcerated years ago, his uncle dying, having the mother of three of his children, Josie Harris die unexpectedly, and now a daughter (not a child of Harris’) who allegedly stabbed YoungBoy Never Broke Again’s girlfriend, the champ’s head is certainly heavy.

Reason First: Playboi Carti Arrested, COVID-19 Made Second Thought for the Time Being
When it comes to rappers and gun and drug charges, they have the power to put a pandemic on the mind’s backburner, momentarily. Playboi Carti received charges for possessing controlled substances and firearms. This is the best news out right now. There’s no word of coughing and sneezing and trying to slice through red tape to get ventilators. This a routine and almost a running gag going on in the hip hop genre. Thankfully, Playboi Carti got stopped on weed, Xanax, and cocaine rather than coming down with COVID-19.

Reason First: Tekashi69 Catches Break Due to COVID-19
Snitches get breaks, too. And not the bodily harm type. Tekashi69 will be moved to his private residence after serving for over a year behind the wall. Like a young wolf let go from a cage only to be confined to a household, Tekashi will fulfill the rest of his two-year sentence as a certified snitch. This brave young man who brought down his gang cronies in a court of law should be upheld as the teller excellence of his generation. Along with Italian mobster Sammy “The Bull” Gravano and 80’s Crack Era hustler “Alpo” Martinez, Tekashi takes his place among the hallowed hall of snitches.

Reason First: Discrimination Now!
COVID-19, for the most part is taking out the elderly. Why are our political leaders not discussing this? Children can contract the virus and give it to their grandparents one might say. So, isolation of the silver-haired citizens should be the next move. But this is to protect them, not to exclude and disrespect their freedom of movement. The housing could be made by force since we pay into Social Security. However, the private actions of generally rational adults will be more than happy to be away from their family for a few days, weeks, months until all are well again.

Reason First: Why are People Still Getting Shot in Wilmington, Delaware?
As the death toll rises in America to surpass China due to the novel coronavirus, there remain shooters out in these Wilmington, Delaware streets. For what? Little details surface regarding the actual incidents. News reporters just say the age and gender of the victim or survivor and when and where they received rounds to the body among other details. Rarely is the discussion of a reason why the person was shot or any leads on who perpetrated the shooting. In Wilmington, Delaware, the news of someone getting shot has become such a normalcy that when world changing events like the spread of COVID-19 hit, it becomes just another section of the daily journal.

Reason First: Do You Believe in COVID-19?
Many people would claim the unknown and the unknowable as their source of strength and refuge. But would these same people be able to say that you can pray away charges? Pastor Rodney Howard-Browne of Tampa Bay, Florida held a service at his church in defiance of the law and rationality. He kept a congregation of folks under one roof, going against the laws of lawful assembly and safety and health. For these acts, Howard-Browne received the cold bracelets of justice.

Reason First: Did Evil Hands Spark this Delaware Fire?
Smoke plumed from what was once a structure planned to provide housing. This story appeared in the Crime Section of Delawareonline.com app. Is this a suggestion that an arsonist caused this whole scene of destruction? The case is under investigation and the State Fire Marshal of the New Castle County Division wants answers. But isn’t it clear? Whomever sparked the blaze is against property rights. This is all said because of the criminal link to this story. More often than not, fires set to buildings under construction remain the handiwork of suspects out to destroy values. Even the beleaguered FEMA website has a section on arsonists and construction sites. So it would appear as if this alleged arsonist was equipped with just enough combustibles to burn the would-be-house down to the earth.

Reason First: Who Will Stop the Thieves in the State of Delaware?
Libertarians love to boast about “anarchs-capitalism” (negating the fact that it’s an anti-concept or worse) and of course the non-aggression principle. They often view the government as a body to be held in low esteem. This includes law enforcement. But who will protect the citizens against criminals if not for the police officers and detectives that make up the force?

Reason First: Will the Coronavirus do More Harm Than Guns in Delaware?
COVID-19 has pervaded the economy, legislature, media and daily lives of individuals in a myriad of ways. It has shut down entire cities. States have gone into emergency mode. Coronavirus has stopped so many elements of society but what it hasn’t managed to do is put an end to gun violence in Wilmington, Delaware.

Reason First: How Can a Cough Lead to an Arrest?
In these times where hand washing, sanitizing, and covering coughs and sneezes in the crook of the arm have become more important than ever, a woman in Hanover, Pennsylvania felt the need to cough on produce. Whether she contracted the COVID-19 disease or not, law enforcement stepped in and arrested the woman on several charges.
