Drug-Store Everyday Makeup Routine!
Moisturizer! I know you have seen countless threads of this all over Instagram, but you need to MOISTURIZE, MOISTURIZE, MOISTURIZE! Moisturizing and Priming are two totally different things, and you need to be doing both to get the trending "glow" right now! I have been using the Le Petit Marseillais Shea Butter, Aloe & Beeswax Body Milk from Wal-Mart. It retails for only $5. It contains shea, aloe, and beeswax, and it is totally safe to use around the eye area. For that "essential glow", I use the L'Oreal Paris True Match Lumi Glotion $11.39, or the Rimmel London Good to Glow Highlighter $4.29. If you want more of a shade range, the Lumi Glotion, has 4 shades Including: Fair Glow, Light Glow, Medium Glow, and Deep Glow. Rimmel London is cheaper, but it only has 2 shades. Notting Hill Glow, and Soho Glow. I am fair skinned, so if you have a deeper skin-tone, I would give L'Oreal a try!

It's All About Them Brows
The eyebrow is the most important part of any makeup look. It frames and defines the eye as well as the face. Believe it or not the history of the eyebrow starts back in ancient times. It wasn’t until the 1920s when silent film star Clara Bow popularized the “over plucked” look that the use of tweezers on the face came into play. Ever since then, eyebrows changed with the decade and the use of beauty products on the market. However, the first pair of tweezers were not used for the use of tweezing hair from the face. They were originally used just to pick up little objects that the fingers could not. They can also be used for the use of crafts and hobbies such as stamp collecting. The shape and pointed edge made things much simpler. I know when I used to do crafts I used tweezers for the little things such as rhinestones, beads, and other little things.

Why I'm Boycotting Kat Von D Beauty... And Which Brands You Should Try Instead
I'd been a fan of Kat Von D since high school when I first saw her in HIM's music video for their song 'Killing Loneliness.' At the time I'd never seen anyone else like this woman and couldn't help but be drawn to her. She was gorgeous, had incredible tattoos, was unapologetic, and seeing her thrive in the traditionally male-dominated field of tattoo artistry was beyond empowering to watch. So when I learned in 2008 that she was releasing her own makeup line, I was ecstatic. What followed were some of the best eye shadows and lipsticks I'd ever seen. And her tattoo concealer was a staple in my makeup bag for years.

Makeup Brush Guide: Cleaning Brushes
Makeup's unsung hero: Makeup brushes. What is the one thing you can't do your makeup without? BRUSHES! Yet most people admit to only have cheap, really bad quality brushes. I won't lie and say I don't have a few cheap brushes in my personal makeup bag, but brushes are where I always tell people it's okay to spend a little more. In the long run it will be a lot better to buy one more expensive brush then to have to keep buying a new cheap brush because the bristles are soft or keep falling out.
