I Can't Stop Feeding my Book Addiction

This is a problem that many readers face.

I was finally able to go to Barnes & Noble again after almost an entire month. I was salivating at the mouth, desperate to give in to my addiction again, and once the Easter weekend arrived, I had my chance.

It felt so wonderful, giving in to my addiction, letting the 'book drug' flow through my body, as I searched for more books to purchase. Barnes & Noble was surprisingly dead, but I think it had to do with the fact that it was Good Friday, and people were probably celebrating with their families.

So, in a way, it was the perfect day to go to Barnes & Noble.

It was awesome to see the other reader addicts pawing at the books, their eyes wide with a mix of determination and desperation to get their hands on a new book. Some of us were literally taking out books from the shelves, carrying them throughout the store, because we did not want anyone else to get their hands on that single copy.

I did not hesitate to grab two books, and I carried them for almost 3 hours in the store. I always forget about the time, whenever I'm in a bookstore. People can literally leave me behind, and I will be there forever, treating the bookstore like a second home.

My book addiction is pretty bad, and I did not give a damn when I spent $70 on books.

Actually, I only spent $28.03, because I had two gift cards, Cough, cough, cough.

This find felt like a huge gold mine.

Carrion Comfort by Dan Simmons is considered to be a horror master, and I have been wanting this book for so long. It felt so satisfying to purchase this book.

Diavola by Jennifer Thorne was probably the biggest shocker for me. I had been hunting this book down for a whole year, and I finally got my hands on a copy! I had no idea I had already owned one of her books already, it was another crazy twist I found out later when I returned home.

Trad Wife by Saratoga Schaefer is now one of my favorite horror writers in the new modern century. She never holds back the horrific situations she puts her main characters through, and I'm literally almost done with reading this book. It's another masterpiece by this great horror writer!

I also took pictures of other random books I really wanted to buy, but since these were $30 hardcovers, I thought it would be cool if I took pictures instead, so that I remember to purchase these later once they release the small book covers.

I love the cover to this book, it immediately caught my attention. Apparently, this book was considered a horror masterpiece online!

I wanted to buy this cup so bad, but since I was already buying three books, I decided to hold off on the cup. Love the quote.

I was in shock to see that one of my favorite thriller writers has written a second book. Her first thriller book was so intense, so I'm sure it's going to be good!

Apparently, fans say this is a damn good vampire book. How it got popular on TikTok, is a huge mystery to me.

I have no idea what this book is about, but I loved the cover!

I loved the cover to this book, and I thought it would be cool to take a picture of it.

I thought the cover was so awesome to this random book!

Another book cover that caught my attention!

I heard about this horror story, and I'm desperate to get it, because of the awesome book cover!

I have been wanting this book so freaking bad. I had heard it's one of the best medieval horror stories ever, and it's so hard to find medieval horror tales like this! It's finally been released, and I'm so excited to get my hands on a copy one day!

Picture of a cutout that scared the crap out of me.

I was jump scared by this random cutout twice. I thought it was a person standing in front of me, and man, it creeped me out. I was so mad that it got me a second time, whoever set this thing up deserves a raise!

Picture of cute bookstore.

I thought this thing was adorable. I don't normally buy stuff like this, but man, I wanted it so bad. I would love to own a mini bookstore.

The premise to this book sounds so awesome. Hell, even Hugh Grant made a big deal about this book! The thought of two serial killers getting married and trying to retire from their crimes sounds like the perfect dark comedy!

I'm still struggling to treat my book addiction. Obviously.

I am going to need another fix once I'm done reading all three books I recently purchased.

Hopefully these stories will hold me off from buying more.

At least for a month.

But let's face it, I'm going to be craving more literature once I'm done with all three.
