March 15, 2026
Merriam Webster - Word of the day: Tranche refers to a division or portion of a whole. World Contact Day is commemorated every year on March 15. It is a unique observance held globally to focus on communicating with extraterrestrial life and exploring the possibility that intelligent beings may exist beyond Earth. World Contact Day inspires people to invoke their curiosity and spend time thinking about the universe and the mysteries surrounding it. What is the “Ides of March”? According to the Roman calendar, the Ides are a monthly occurrence. In March and other months with 31 days, the Ides always falls on the 15th; it falls on the 13th in months with 30 days. The Ides traditionally marked the arrival of the new Moon and was cause for celebration. The word “Ides” is derived from Latin, meaning “to divide.” Mothering Sunday in 2026 falls on Sunday, March 15. Mothering Sunday, celebrated in the United Kingdom and Ireland, occurs on the fourth Sunday of Lent, which is exactly three weeks before Easter. Unlike the fixed-date Mother's Day in countries like the United States, Canada, and Australia, Mothering Sunday’s date changes each year according to the Christian liturgical calendar. On March 15, 2026, several notable observances and events are celebrated: Dumbstruck Day: A day to express frustration. Everything You Think is Wrong Day: A day to challenge and celebrate wrong beliefs. International Day Against Police Brutality: A day to raise awareness and advocate against police violence. My look at today, March 15, 2026 below:

Writing To Succeed
If you want to find something that will help readers find your writing, possibly expand your audience, and maybe even get you noticed for other things, then you’re not alone. But how can you get it done in a world full of want-to-be writers? Look less at what you’re writing now, and more at what other writers have used to boost their views and reads.

Boundless
A geographical map could take you there. To the places I've been, to the sights I've seen, to the landscapes I've climbed. But no compass could point you in the direction of my memories. To the experiences I've lived, to the happiness I've felt, to the wonder I've held so close to my heart.

When Amazon Says You’re a Disappointment
Yesterday, for the first Wednesday in months, I didn’t publish a piece on Vocal. Believe me, I wanted to. I had it all written up and ready to go. I was going to share the news that I had officially become a published author.

Martyrdom Rejection
Have you ever been psychologically abused? Distorted truths and half-lies weaponized around one devastating truth, then built out with lies? Conditional traps presented as negotiation with a bait and switch, accuse and blame where you’re indicted regardless of your answer, perpetually framed as lying so someone can control a narrative and present herself as a faultless victim who has suffered all because of you, regardless of her own choices? What if it’s intentional and cruel, designed to hit you where you’re already hurt? Maybe the next blow will be fatal.

The Last Bite
Dad brought home extra meat and said it was cheap. It tasted fine, just sweeter than usual. A week later, missing posters went up. Last night, I found a fingernail in my steak. I heard footsteps upstairs, and he whispered, “Did you finish everything on your plate?”

Human.exe Error 0x000
*This is a prologue of my new book: Human.exe Error 0x000 I remember 2025. Back then, it was still a game. "Agentic AI"—that’s what they called it at the conferences in those gleaming glass office buildings. Agents that were supposed to book our flights, write our tedious emails, and manage our lives. We were thrilled to have created something that thought faster than us, yet remained so damn obedient. No one saw it as a digital noose. We only saw the convenience.

Prodigal Daughter
Muscles tensed. Stomach clenched. An involuntary regurgitation sweetened and seared her mouth. Watery eyes blinked. She knocked, too softly. She could run. The intercom hissed. Pounding blood drowned the words. The door swung open. For the first time in years, she breathed the aroma of mother's cooking.
