To Be Read List
So as a former book kid I have lost that attention span as an adult. The ability to devour a book in a single season is beyond gone, but I have been trying to build it back up this year. And I am nearly back to normal, having read about 15 books this year already. And now we are entering prime reading season with the fall and winter coming. I have a lot of books that are already started so really this fall is just going to be about how many books can I finish in two months. So here we go with my current fall to be read list. Most of these are fantasy books but I tried to include some scary and cozy vibes on here as well. I like a well rounded to be read list.

Le Cirque des Rêves
I had been trying to pick out something to read, and this was recommended by a friend of mine who figured that I would like it. I already owned the book, so I plucked it off of the shelf and nestled down in the chair. Unfortunately, it took me quite a while to finish this one (life just seemed to get away from me), and I think that may have contributed to my overall experience reading this book. I think that I would have been better off if I had committed myself to finishing it right off or putting it back on the shelf until I was ready to commit to it fully.

The Monkey and the old couple
Once upon a time, in a remote village, there lived a lovely old couple. Unfortunately, they didn't have any children of their own. One sunny day, while they were busy planting potatoes in their field, they heard a strange sound. It was someone clicking their tongue in disapproval. Curious, they turned around and saw a mischievous monkey sitting on a tree, giving them disapproving looks. Confused, the old man asked the monkey, "What are you doing up there?" The monkey replied, "You're planting potatoes all wrong! If you want a bountiful harvest, let me show you the right way." The old couple eagerly asked, "How should we plant them then?" The monkey explained, "First, you need to boil the potatoes, then peel them and sprinkle some salt. After that, wrap them in banana leaves and bury them in the soil. Don't forget to mark each spot with sticks so you can remember later." Without a second thought, the old couple followed the monkey's advice and thanked him for his help.
