Akame's in a jam
Staring down at certain death, Special Agent Akame Fugatoro thought to himself, "I don't get paid enough for this." His sight was taking in crashing waves and a rocky drop, if the grappling gun malfunctions; not that it has ever happened to his knowledge, but it was raining, and the wind was too strong, anything could happen. The mission is infiltrating the lab, locate the biological weapon, collect a sample of the bioweapon and data, and destroy the bioweapon along with the lab. "Sounds simple enough." Akame thought.

W I T C H: Chapter 2
The day was bright, sunny, and painfully hot. So hot that at one point I stripped down to my boxers as I crouched over an old rotary fan, cranked up to full blast. I spent most of the day trying to get something down on paper. But the oppressive summer heat made it hard to concentrate, so eventually I gave up and abandoned my second-hand typewriter. After a while I looked at the clock and noticed it was almost time to leave my tiny oasis. I sighed, knowing I couldn’t put it off any longer, and forced myself to get dressed for work. While the night shift at the local museum wasn’t exactly a glamorous job, it did stave off my growing boredom by helping me come up with new ideas. Few of them were ever any good, but it helped grease the wheels of progress.

The Silver Serpent Society. Chapter One.
The stench hits my nose as I enter the crime scene. Some idiot had left the door open and the July heat had been working on the swollen corpse sprawled across the laminate flooring for days by the looks of it. The rigor mortis had locked the stiff in a pose like he was trying to fend off the devil himself. Uniform cops stand around useless as can be, slack-jawed while CSI techs wander around listlessly in the oppressive heat.

I, Willhelm
Alice’s husband hadn’t slept properly in three days. He was holding the baby tightly, starting into the distance as the police spoke with the men from Aphelion robotics, a lost look on his face. The help had come pouring in. Meals where made, family and friends worked on rotation to care for the baby, not that it was terribly needed; the school immediately allowed an indefinite leave of absence. The house was spotless, the meals were cooked, and the baby had not stopped crying in three days. It hated the food he made, he hated the way he was put to bed down, he hated the sound and smell of strangers in the house. He hated everything except, his father, and refused to be put down.
