The Day I Disrupted Cross-Channel Shipping
My life has often felt like a badly-written sitcom: Heavy on the embarrassment; light on the laughs. Whether it's relationship faux-pas, or sartorial missteps, or - biggest of all - hairdressing calamities, I've spent much of my time on this wonderful planet behaving like a comedic buffoon who's found himself trapped in a series of increasingly surreal situations. Only minus the laughter track.

I TRIED AND TRIED, I WASN'T ENOUGH.
HI! My name is Subhankhi. Today I will share a story about my failure. I don't want to disappoint anyone but this is an experience I will never forget. From a very early age, I was very interested in acting. I was absolutely obsessed over the Bollywood actresses. I was amazed at the crazy amount of fame and love they always get. So out of greed for fame, at a very early age, I decided I will be an actor when I grow up.

Dyslexia to me
Dyslexia to me by David F Anderson Dyslexia affects people differently, and I cannot speak to everybody else's dyslexia; I can tell you what mine is. I can give you an idea of what it is like to have it if you've ever seen the movie 50 First dates. Barrymore and Sandler star in the film. Every day when Drew Barrymore wakes up, she cannot remember yesterday. That truly is what dyslexia is like for me. I watched the same news channel every night, and they say their name at the start of every episode, yet I still can't remember everyone's name.

Over Board, Over Draft!
If I was a magician I would have saved all my powers and tricks for this day when i went overboard with the overdraft of my best friend bank account. I had just started a job with two rideshare companies as a delivery driver. In order for me to get paid I needed a traditional bank account and not a prepaid card. So my best friend who was my ride or die had a bank account that was just in hibernation. Not even having a second thought, I quickly asked him could I use his Navy Federal Bank account for my pay/ he said here is my account number and pin number, just make sure you keep it in a safe place. I said Thank you so much , I truly appreciate it. You are more than welcome Will, that’s what fiends are for right. Yes sir you are absolutely right. As I proceeded out the house to pick up my next order, the wheels in my head started turning. So I I started this 1 man conversation with myself saying i need some extra money so that I can turn up a lil bit this weekend, and I'm not going to get paid until next weekend. Umm, I wonder if he has that overdraft protection on his account. I’ll see if i can withdraw that and then i'll just pay it back once I get paid. I just have to find a way to put it back so that he wont find out.

10 reasons why failing at suicide gave me a new lease on life.
10. Waking up/Morning routine. Who would have thought something as common as waking up every day would be cause for celebrating? It is. One thing I have been working on is being more mindful of the present moment especially upon waking up every day. Before my feet have even touched the floor I lay in bed and quietly visualize my day. I play out any and all scenarios in my mind all of which conclude positively and in the best benefit of all included. I finish up with some positive self talk about some of the things I'm grateful for. Then after waking up, brushing my teeth and drinking a couple glasses of water. I find a quiet spot in or outside where I can sit close my eyes and for the next 15 minutes I just sit and focus on my breathing. No thoughts, no worries, nothing but my breathing and silence. Blissful. My day has begun.

Lake St. Claire
Can't breathe. Dead stop. This can't be real. Gemini paced wildly, her heels clicking against the tile. She felt it all. Anger, being used, fear. She took a deep breathe in, and exhaled slowly. Maintaining her composure was a skill she had learned long ago and she had become used to being numb inside.

Procrastination
My problem Last year, when it all kicked off, everyone spent quite a bit of time talking about how they were filling their time. Being a caring and interested individual, I was heartened to hear how well some people were doing – lots of us, in fact, had used the time trapped indoors to develop their interests, and pick up new ones.
