"The Greatest Years of Your Life"
I had been so excited to go to University. I didn't know any better. It was four years ago now. I was 22 years old. I had put off University for four years because I had not made a decision about what I wanted to do. I still hadn't really, as I changed my degree after my first year. I enjoyed doing drama, but I didn't want to perform (which I know sounds stupid, but I was more about behind the scenes and it just wasn't what the degree offered). I changed to film and despite knowing it was a 'Mickey Mouse' degree and it would be very unlikely I would find employment in film, I felt I had at least a small chance once I graduated nonetheless. I was smart and efficient. I'm a First Class student, I work hard, I'm mature (in every sense) and so I really thought I'd enjoy university and have a good chance after graduation.

I Was Homeschooled and I Turned Out Fine!
I was homeschooled growing up, 2006-2016, pulled out because my parents didn't quite agree with the teaching philosophies and practices of the local school district. I’ll divulge this fact in conversation with new and old friends, and usually, the response I get to that is, “That reads.” They’re right. It absolutely does. There’s some profound subtlety about my character that makes people think, “It makes sense that he was homeschooled.” It’s unclear whether or not that’s a good thing. However, with the advent of distanced learning, a lot of parents are considering homeschooling their students, for a good reason. At the beginning of the pandemic, the infrastructure was not in place for effective remote learning all across the country, on every level of education. I know this. My last semester of college went online midway through, and that entire period of time, the goal changed from “learning” to “keeping my GPA intact,” and teachers were mostly just trying to hold themselves together. I learned effectively nothing, other than the fact that university administrations only seem to view students as liabilities, but that’s a rant for another day.

MY JOB CORPS EXPERIENCE, CHAPTER TWO: MY FIRST DAY IN DENISON
After getting on the bus I immediately felt the change. It was a reality and I was finally doing something with myself. I had thought about all of the actions that led me to this point, and it was almost like it was meant for this to happen. What I did not realize was how long this ride was going to be. Denison was six hours from Cresco, and we had to pick other students up as well.

Passing the CPA
I can't believe I am finally saying this, but I am done! This was a very bumpy ride, but I got to the finish line. If I were to give a piece of advice to those who are about to embark this journey, I would say that you do not need to remember everything, as well as don't give up.

How Compatible Is Urban School Reform With The Neighborhood Revitalization?
How compatible is urban school reform with the neighborhood revitalization thrust, and how can revitalization efforts in urban communities support the work of the public school? Three perspectives frame the movement toward coordinated children’s services: a new sense of "ecology" that school, family, and community are vitally interdependent; a recognition of the need to build the "social capital" of families and communities; and a call to end the extensive fragmentation in service delivery. The community revitalization approach focuses on family self-sufficiency and independence through employment, a renewed encouragement of private investment in urban communities, and a locally or grassroots-driven strategy of action.

I Dropped Out of College
My future has never seemed very bright. I dropped out of college more than once, which I'm positive disappointed my family. I suffer from depression and anxiety, and bipolar disorder. But I try my hardest not to let it stop me from doing what I want to do, which is get an education. I currently study at my own pace online, through a coding website. I love anything tech related, or computer related. It helps me challenge my brain and makes me realize I'm a lot smarter than I let myself believe.
