She calmly placed the clipboard on the shelf, grabbed her jacket, and walked out the door. She heard calls following her as she strode down the hall, but she never hesitated once. Charlotte's mind was made up the moment those words came out of his mouth. She was done… and she wasn't looking back.

Goodbye
He is fighting the urge to look back at her. This rollercoaster seems to have finally come to its end. He seen the mourning in her heart. The affliction in her soul. They share the same soul. But this lifetime did not carry the karma to love as they should. His hand connects with the door handle, pulling the door to him. She jumps up from the couch saying his name. Her eyes pleading not to go. Yet and still, he steps over the threshold out of her life. Doing what needs to be done.
