Drenched Dancing
The liquid limelights dazzle me. An abstract smile dances across my face-not a girl next door smile, not a cheesy, forced grin, but a lopsided widening of my mouth that reveals my mammoth teeth. The liquor in my chest seems to seep through my mouth and eyes and out into the world, swimming about in a unified, vibrational hum.

Friday Night Hangout On The Farm
I couldn't wait to get my chores done on grandpa's farm this particular day. It was Friday evening, and Chase, Adam, Trevor, and I were meeting at Ben's farm. Adam got his older brother to buy us some beer, and I had some weed to share. We weren't a rowdy group. Most Friday nights, we drove the pickup out to the far end of the pasture, built a fire, and just sat around a fire drinking and laughing. We had been sneaking out here since we were thirteen years old and sneaking cigarettes from our parents.

Then Ben Met Dasiy
Around 2019 I was on a date with a beautiful woman Dasiy, the restaurant served an Italian special which was about a 20-minute walk from Dasie's apartment. Walking Daisy home after our date, I always loved looking into her tender eyes when we would talk. It was our third date, I was excited to try and kiss her goodnight. Her smile reminded me of home, her eyes were the feeling of a cosy night in next to a fireplace with a blanket on a rainy day. She was my type before I even knew I had a type. Her body man!! Halle Barrie and Michelle Phifer all in one.

Grab the Bull by its Horns
“Liliana,” my mother yells up the stairs, “we’re leaving now!” Shoot! I apply one last layer of lip gloss and look straight at myself in the mirror. What is that saying again? Something about grabbing a bull by the horns? That’s what I need to do. With one last rake through my hair with a comb, I grab my shawl and practically fall down the stairs, taking two steps at a time. My mother absolutely hates it when I'm late.

The Vampire Princess and The Guard
We texted for about 20 minutes, cracking jokes and remembering our past lives. I see he was writing a text because a bubble with three dots showed up, but it disappeared. I waited for the message, but nothing happened. Another 20 minutes had gone by, and still no text from Sebastian. Something might have caught his attention. I then hear laughing from outside, so I decided to see what was going on. I went towards the window and opened the blinds…

Bethany's Song.
Bethany was feeling anxious today. She had butterflies in her stomach and she felt really sick. She was performing on stage at the Rose Gold Theatre later tonight, and she didn't want to be there. So far, she had managed to complete all of the practice sessions with her tutor, and she had made good progress. She had been singing for months, though this was her first stage performance and she was suffering from intense stage fright. She starred at the clock, hoping that time would go by slow. However, time was going faster than she would have liked it to go and it was now 4 P.M. She had ten minutes to get herself together and to get to the theatre.
