Demeter
Standing on the deck, gazing out over the waves, the predator sensed movement and vanished in an instant. The crew of this ship, small though it was, were in numbers great enough that the predator might have trouble, should any know of his kind. It was likely that they would have some knowledge; sailors had ever been a superstitious lot, and this was a crew from Russia, close enough to his home to have heard tales aplenty. Ten days ago, they had left the port at Varna, heading to Whitby.

The Greene Man
Our old house was covered in wisteria, it had crawled up the place years ago, and decided to live there too- the arrangement being that it could have all the brickwork it wanted, as long as it left the windows alone. Even so, every summer without fail it would bravely drip its blooms over the head of every pane, and for a time purple aspect would be cast on each room when the sun rose or set. It was much like this- wood, plaster and skin painted as such – during my parents' separation. That I still remember more than anything, fragmented and foggy as my recollection is since I was only 10 or 11 at the time, but the odd sensation of being curled up, ears covered and cheeks all salt-burnt and wet so often, and just being able to stare and stare at the purple on the wall until I could no longer hear them, that's still indelible, still visible to me as the last impression of a kind of life short-lived on my part. For a long time after this, unless perhaps from somewhere within the blinking light of an answering machine, I would rarely see my father. His great mistake was, I think, the adoption of some idea, misconceived in the mist of mid-life perhaps, of 'going all the way'. He had always wanted to build a house, one that was truly for him, and so that was exactly what he did; as a preeminent architect he was a member of one of those few professions where you're afforded the luxury of standing in the shadow of your own creation- I believe he wished to bathe in it, and that Llyn-Rhyfedd was where he went to do so.

The Lake
I don’t know why I agreed to this. I mean, seriously, who goes and camps in the middle of nowhere on Friday the 13th? Crazy people, that’s who. Jensen dragged me out here a few hours ago, and whilst he is having the time of his life, I am trying to figure out a way to convince him to go home. So far the only thing that has a possibility of working is to knock him out and carry him home, but I’m not strong enough to do that by myself.

Halloween in Europe
Halloween is one of my favorite holidays. I love trying to convert my home into a haunted house to entertain the trick-or-treaters, and of course, that also means trips to Spirit Halloween. However, my best travel-related Halloween memories include visiting Castle Frankenstein in Germany and Transylvania in Romania.

Beware Halloween Is Coming
Halloween Pranks and Candy Apples The traditional colors of Halloween are orange and black and these also come from the pagan celebrations of the autumn and harvest. The orange color symbolizes the color of crops and changing leaves. As for black, it symbolizes the “death” of summer and the changing of the seasons. Other colors have been added to Halloween decorations and they include yellow, purple and green.

Halloween Candy Through the Years
The one thing that children look forward to the most is getting bagfuls of candy on Halloween. Both children and adults love to get dressed up in all kinds of costumes. My childhood favorite was a witch costume and that being the 1960s the popular costumes for children came packaged with plastic masks. As much as my mother wished I wanted to be a princess or a fairy year after year it was being a witch for me.

Adrift
It had been seven years since Steven went fishing. He didn't really know why he hadn't gone in so long, he just hadn't. It struck him one day as he was cleaning out his garage and found his old fishing pole swaddled in cobwebs. He cleaned it off, admiring it, and that's when he realized it's been seven years. His house wasn't very far from Lake Profonde, he often walked out there in the mornings to sit near the shore and watch the birds. It was always so quiet and serene out there. The arthritis in his knees was getting worse as he got older but the walks seemed to help. Steven always enjoyed fishing so he decided this weekend he would rent a canoe, buy a big can of worms and head out on to the Profonde. He had never been on Lake Profonde, always enjoying it from land, he was looking forward to this. Steven wished his wife, Elaine, was still here to go with him. She died almost seven years ago to the day. Seven years.

The Secret At The Beach
Mary was in the kitchen, and she was so busy with the lunch she was making. Andrew was helping her in making lunch while Kerry was just there talking with them. ''Will you please help me with that dish over there?'' Mary said as she looked at Kerry. The dish was just before Kerry, and he could get it to her with ease. Andrew was busy slicing the potatoes. ''Why should I do that?'' Kerry asked in a tone that showed he didn't feel like he was part of the cooking. ''You will be part of those eating this food when we are done cooking it.

THE LAKE HOUSE
I grabbed a case of beers from the trunk of the car and shut the hatch with a loud thwack. That echoed through the woods and across the lake. It was just as stunning and serene as I remembered it, but it felt wrong to be there again, at the very same cabin where I last saw our friend.

Scream 5 Trailer
Hey everyone! The trailer for Scream 5 has arrived and I am totally excited for it. I've probably watched it like over twenty times because I just can't enough of it. They had the perfect chance to name this Scream 5: The Final Cut or Scream 5: New Generation which I think New Generation would best for the television show. ( The show that not so many Scream fans like) I'm not sure if you guys have heard but Scream 5 is not going to be title of it. I'm just going to refer to as that anyway. I hope I'm not wrong about this because I saw it in an article as I was googling a cover photo for my very own article. I am so happy that Neve Campbell, David Arquette and Courteney Cox came back to reprise their roles as the three core survivors (Sidney Prescott, Gale Weathers and Dewey Riley). This Ghostface seems more sinister than the other ghostfaces in the Scream Trilogy. I mean when he or she stepped on Tara's leg (played by Jenna Ortega) in that damn trailer, I felt like he was stepping on my damn leg and when he or she stood at the door and immediately stabbed her in chest. I was like this Ghostface is not playing any games in this one. My most favorite line throughout the trailer is "Hello, Sidney! It's an honor."

Death by Water
The dreams started at a young age and always featured water of some sort, whether standing beneath a shower or swimming in a lake, it didn't matter for death always came in some form. It was the week before Halloween and everyone in town had covered up their houses in some sort of creepy attire all except one. The old house, which was named The Falls, sat at the end of town. It was considered to be abandoned or even haunted by the children. Behind the house sat a massive pool that was surrounded by an ornate fence. The top of the pool was murky colored with a layer of slime that was visible even through the slates of the fence.
