Movie Review: 'The Mysterious Death of Johnny Thunders' Exploits a Cult Legend
Room 37 The Mysterious Death of Johnny Thunders has a high ick factor. A speculative horror movie about the final days of former New York Dolls guitarist Johnny Thunders, played by Leo Ramsey, Room 37 leaves good taste well behind with its very premise. Leering and sweaty, Room 37 The Mysterious Death of Johnny Thunders opts for ugly, unfounded speculation over anything remotely accurate about what may have happened to the mercurial rock star.

'Peelers' - A Review (Netflix)
Ladies and gentleman, we have a contender. I have watched a lot of terrible films on Netflix, mostly—I tell myself—to review them. There is, of course, a perverse joy in watching terrible films, but there are some films that test even yours truly’s capacity for awful.

'The Haunting of Sharon Tate' - A Review (Netflix)
The B-roll of Los Angeles at night is quite good, and the title cards are accurate. These are the only positives I can find in the absolute abomination that is passing itself off as a film, The Haunting of Sharon Tate. Everything about the man behind the camera and story and script, Daniel Farrands’– I refuse to call him a filmmaker, director, or writer on the strength of this–project, is bad.

Reed Alexander's Horror Review of 'Blood Glacier' (2013)
Ehh, it was kinda cute. It might have actually been an okay movie if it wasn't for the down right abysmal English dubbing. Does anyone remember the original Resident Evil? not the movie, the video game for the Playstation. Remember the just AWFUL dialogue they dubbed into that video game? Yeah, that's pretty much the standard you should expect in this movie, at least the English dubbed version of the movie. But you know? It’s actually kind of cute. It pushes this movie from bad to good-bad.

Reed Alexander's Horror Review of 'The Mothman Prophecies' (2002)
I did like this movie, though it’s not without its problems. It was a worthy attempt at being cerebral horror, and while I did find it lacking, this movie walked the very thin line between paranormal and madness. I wasn’t sure if I could recommend this movie at first, but over time it grew on me. I really grew to appreciate its presentation.

Reed Alexander's Horror Review of 'Phantoms' (1998)
I remember this being a pretty bad movie when I was a teenager growing up. I watched it again to determine if it was a good-bad movie or just another Ben Affleck bomb. I mean, Ben Affleck has a lot of bunker busters under his name, so it was kind of hard to set aside my memory of him and my memory of this movie.

Reed Alexander's Horror Review of 'Radius' (2017)
Here's the thing about this movie. There was a lot to hate about it, but a lot to love about it. It really felt like a ton of the plot was forced. I'm not sure if I can call it Deus Ex Machina, but there were definitely some corners the director or writer wrote themselves into and had to force their way out.
