An updated version of the classic martial arts bo staff is the collapsible bo staff, also referred to as a telescopic staff. It is appropriate for training, demonstrations, and self-defense due to its special folding construction, which also makes it easy to hide and transport. Due to wear on joints and connectors, it could not be as robust or long-lasting as traditional ones. Because the technique is collapsible, martial artists frequently modify their methods to accommodate it, which calls for effective control and manipulation abilities.
