heroes and villains
Heroes and Villains throughout history that have defined their industries and workflow as we know it today. Those we look up to, and those we learn mistakes from.
To My Inner Child
I don't know how to start telling you words that I couldn't tell you before, until now. No matter what you go through in life, or what happens to you, or what is said to you, don't take it personally. Listen to me, it's for your mental health, it's for you to not to get hurt. I'm afraid, I can't stop that from happening. This is why I couldn't write to tell you the things that I know that you will have to face one day. But, with my guidance, it won't be so hard, you are going to make it and you will win all the challenges in life. Keep this in mind, NOTHING is happening to you, but its for your best. I promise. You love so much and you don't know when to stop or know when it is real. We didn't get the emotional support and love we wanted as kids, so we were looking for a special love in basically every boy that was cute. But don't do that. Life at home will be really hectic, our parents fighting and passing out drunk will make you runaway. You will be afraid and want to seek a boy to make you feel safe. It will depending on who you meet and get to know. I don't think I can stop that either. Oh boy! I love you and I will guide you along the way. I will be that positive silent voice that you can't hear, you will just know it's me. Listen to me!!

Breath into Her
They tell me to breath life into her, but that's what I'm afraid of. They say "Maybe you're not healing from the past, because you're trying to be who you once were, and that person is gone. There is a new, strong being, trying to be born. Breath life into her, and let her come forth."

How OSHA Cost Me My Job
In October 2020, I started working at Michaels as a part-time Customer Experience Manager, or CEM for short. It wasn’t the greatest job, but I needed something, and I already was quite familiar with the craft world from working for a competitor as a store manager. I was never much of a fan of Michaels. Their stores always seemed dirty and their prices were often higher. Still, I liked some of the people with whom I worked, so it would work for a while.

On the Road to Becoming the Rose-Petald Warrior
This assignment I have set myself has many layers to the purpose or why of doing it. This idea came to me during my Masters course and alos, the desire to overhaul my life. As a lover of action, comic and blockbuster films, and the lack of relatable women action heroes, I wondered if I could do and prove that an average, working class woman like myself could become a hero. Of course, there is more to being a hero than looking the part and no longer having self-destructive tendencies, but I think ultimately the goal was to building the strongest self-respect and confidence, and authenticity that in when I campaign an defend for feminist and human rights, their attempt to discredit and destroy my character, which is the main and common weapon of the patriarchal and capitalist system, that my mental health is so resilient I will cheesily reply in the wise words of Captain America, "I can do this all day."

The flaws of the hometown Hero
My dearest Zachary, It should come as no surprise, since real life heroes all come with their own unique flaws, that you should have them as well. But blinking dewy eyed like a fawn just birthed and setting her sights upon the world for the first time, her mother licking the remnants of battle from this babe’s fuzzy head, such is the atmosphere of safety that envelops me as I melt into your presence for the first time.

An Open Letter to the Volunteer Firefighters of Plymouth, Maine
Many people in the community sleep peacefully in their beds at night, never knowing the commitment made by volunteer firefighters. They brave the hazards of burning buildings to ensure no loss of life (human or animal) whenever possible—often at the expense of their own lives. For this, they receive no financial compensation.
