From a young age, he showed strong interest in learning and was known as a bright student. He chose to study medicine and completed his MBBS degree (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery). Although trained as a doctor, his passion soon shifted toward religion. During the late 1980s and early 1990s, he began exploring different religions including Islam, Christianity, and Hinduism. He noticed that many people had doubts and questions about faith, and he wanted to respond to those questions in a logical and scientific manner.

I am a firm believer that dreams are messages. I woke up from a dream this morning that had utterly shaken me to the core. I had a dream I was drowning inside a video game world. It’s hard to explain, but you know those green warp pipes Mario goes into to go into another world? I was going into one, going to another world in my dream, but it was filled with water. I kept travelling through the pipe for what felt like forever but I was unable to breathe. And then I managed to force myself awake from the dream.
