7 Ways to Be Happy Today. Top Story - October 2018.
Woke up in a funk? I feel you. That's usually how I wake up in the morning. Usually I dread getting out of bed and wish to ignore all of my responsibilities for the day. The only way that I can get myself out of that funk is to get myself motivated with something good that I have going on that day. Even if it's just seeing a friend for a few minutes or going to a class that I enjoy (yeah, I actually enjoy one or two) it helps to brighten up my day knowing I have something to look forward to. Here are 10 of some of my top ways of being happy every day.

30 Journal Entries to Self Discovery - Day 15
Hello all! Welcome to day fifteen! I can't believe I'm already halfway done with this series. I hope everyone is enjoying following along and I really want to thank everyone for following along. I know it's not the most interesting article series in the world, but I hope at least those of you that are also writers are finding it entertaining. It's still weird to me. But has inspired me and maybe I'll do something like this again. Anyway, here's the quote for today: "It's not too late to write your best story" - Bryan Hutchinson

Becoming an Adult Far from Everything—Pt. III
One year ago, I took the plane to cross the ocean. Six hours later, I was in another dimension: North America. Quite a big deal for an 18-year-old boy who has never lived far from his family. I was unconscious. I did not even know what I was doing… However, I did it.

Savage Summer
Sav-ageForce of nature, fierce, and uncontrolled When you think of savage, you automatically think ruthless as fuck but this summer wasn’t that. It has been the most freeing experience of my life. I always have a good summer break outside of school and work; I wanted to plan something different. I decided to make some goals & interests and put them to action. I wanted to meet as many new people (opposite of me) and do things that made me happy either by myself or with others. Being happy and continuing to be happy was the ultimate reason for this all—no more suffering or “I can’t do that” & I'm proud to say I accomplished it.

I'm starting a blog
I've never had a blog before, but I figure here is as good a place as any to have one. It shouldn't be too hard right? Sharing your life with a bunch of total random strangers on the internet that may or may not be serial killers or psychopaths. Or maybe just a bunch of internet trolls. Anyways, I'm getting side tracked. I was going to tell you about today.

Colour Scales
Every now & then life throws a curve ball at you. You plod on with acceptance and knowledge that not changing the status quo is the right thing to do. You see the thing with this mentality is that you loose your self. Your drive, ambition, even who you are. Its such a slow & gradual process you don’t even realise. The gas is barely feeding the light. The life of colour you once had has turned to grey.

Being Kind Will Always Be the Higher Road
This world is full of good and evil and it is always so hard to stay positive when surrounded by the negativity of the harsh reality of life. This is why we need people who care about us, love us, and encourage us in our lives. This is where we can find our strength and hope when we feel as though we are no longer able to protect ourselves from letting the negativity consume our lives.

One Cupcake at a Time
Beginning... Again. I know it's super cliche, but my life just got turned upside down all over again. My husband won't be living with me for a few months due to work obligations, and I just left the job that was making me miserable. For the first time in a while, I feel truly free. I feel like my dreams are closer than ever now and that the sky is the limit to what I can accomplish.

Take a Freakin' Picnic!
My daily routine goes something like this: wake up early, head to the gym, go to school, go to work, then go back to sleep. Boing, boring, boring. Every day, same times. It gets quite cumbersome and on my Sundays off, I try to let myself rest. Throughout the week, I think that when Sunday comes around, I am going to sleep in, eat good, and laze around the house, and at the time that sounds lovely.

Go for It
I have worked full time while going to school for a while now. The money was good and it paid the bills. However, I was not happy with who I was and where my life was. Making the decision to want to leave my full time job to no job, and focus on my business was not something that I did without thought. Many hours were spent talking with my husband, planning and making sure we would be stable, all went in to this idea. I would not have been able to even start my business without having a full time job that presented me with these opportunities, for that I am grateful. I went from being miserable, depressed and negative every day therefore, creating problems in my relationship and myself to being bright, happy and positive in every aspect.
