How to heal fully and properly.
The Storms
She stood at the window and watched as the rain started coming down softly. They were calling for a big storm tonight and she welcomed it. Wrapped in her comfy, oversized sweater, she put her arms around herself and leaned against the window casing. The night was dark and there was a chill in the air. The sky started it's beautiful light show and she held her breath for a moment. Oh how she did love a good storm. She loved the smell of a summer rain and the feel of it on her skin. She would dance in the rain normally but not tonight. Tonight was not a dancing night, it was a thought provoking night. Time to think, reflect, soul search and enjoy the quiet silence of solitude.

Don't Block Your Blessings
Don’t Block Your Blessings! By: Sean Kenneally Negativity is like a drug. At your weakest moments it pulls you in, and it will hold you down as long as you allow it to. I speak from personal experience when I say no one can truly pull you out of it and you’ll never understand why. If you turn to drugs and alcohol you’ll slowly start to spiral. Sex is never enough, and the thought that “if I just get a partner all this pain will go away” will only lead to a messy break up that brings you right back to negativity. These are all temporary. Friends and family can help but even they will one day have to leave. The only thing in life that you will always have, no matter what, is yourself. I have struggled mightily throughout my life with anxiety and depression, and I always said the world was against me until a few days ago something spectacular happened. Now, for you to truly understand what I mean, I will give you a little back story about my struggles. Hopefully this will help you get through whatever struggles you are facing.

My home; My Story
I feel a bit confused and discontent; having all my normal routines and activities I usually keep myself active with excitement and happiness abruptly interrupted due to COVID-19 pandemic began to strike Australia. Since March all my part-time jobs working within the hospitality industry at venues such as Flemington, Caulfield or Marvel Stadium got cancelled due to enforced social distancing measures.

I Wonder?
Today I dyed my hair. I’ve started to use reverse psychology and laugh when you say things like I’m going through a mid life crisis or I’m loosing the plot. I continue to reply with “now I look like a real bogan aye?”and “doesn’t it just brighten up my soul.” But the truth is, no matter how much people say they are aware of mental illness, they are just simply fucking not.

Dear Life...
Have you ever feel like you have no idea what is happening with your life right now? Feels like you living day by day like a zombie, having no desire to move forward, or just feeling lost not knowing what to do? You smiling but not smiling, you eating but don't feel full, you are sleeping but feel tired all the time.

Being Alone in a Crowded world
Everywhere we go, today is separated in silence. Covered in sheets of fear, the act of being social becomes a withering fight for survival. The world that’s filled with knowledge and visual stimuli, we can get overwhelmed & burnt out faster than most. Adjusting to new measures of living we try to make the social scene known but yet barriers barricade us an we all end up alone (together) in this crowded world.

It's okay to be still right now.
The other day, for the first time in I don’t know how long, I sat at the piano. I started playing and writing a new melody. It was exciting. It had been forever since I had been motivated to write new music and I felt something weighing heavily on my heart. But within 15 minutes, those heavy feelings dissipated and I closed the piano lid and just sighed. It was a frustrating feeling not knowing how to even write a song anymore, something that has always come so naturally to me.

COVID-19 THROUGH AN INTROVERT’S LENS
Quarantine is a paradise for introverts. I am 22 years old, a student who is studying at a local Polytechnic. When I received the stay-home notice on the third of April, I was instructed that online lessons will be conducted the next following week. As a concern for a design student, I felt that going to school to do our regular research and other work was unnecessary, considering the time consumed to travel back and forth on weekdays. The buzz of school activities is really draining me dry. Those endless days of hard work to squeeze out every inch of my brain juice and sleepless nights as I rushed the project to completion. Hearing people's unsolicited opinions about me, and being an emotional dumping ground for those in need. Each day, the routine repeats itself and felt like I'm stuck in a repetitive cycle of life.

The Change Maze
"Come with me through a maze... now this maze is made entirely of bounce house cushion, padded with helium....fortunately, there's enough room so that you don't feel too claustrophobic....you have to walk alone though, there isn't enough room for someone to walk beside you. I mean, besides me, I’ll be there, walking ahead of you. It won't be too bad, you've done this before, you do it all of the time, in fact. This maze is change. We don’t entirely know WHAT kind of change, for better or for worse, but we’ve got to do it and it’ll be fun!! I know, you don't like change, but hey, hey! Don't look down, eyes on me! You can do it! Just take small steps. Ok, you're doing great. I'm glad you're wearing your tennis shoes. That was a smart choice! Oh, and you're even wearing band aids JUST in case you still get blisters. You've learned so much from the change mazes you've already gone through! I'm so proud of you. Do you have water? Ok great. What about good music and a phone to reach out to friends? Yes? Great. And bug spray? Mosquitos tend to like it in here; it's humid. Great, let's go! Ok, ok, I'm really excited for you to turn this corner, this is a really fun part! You can spread out and jump as much as you'd like! And it's AIR CONDITIONED!!

Being a victim
When a woman goes through multiple tragic events in childhood they either choose to continue down the path of chaos or they choose to be empowered by all the tragedy. The path may not always be clear, and there will definitely be temptations to steer the opposite way. One day you may even meet “your knight in shining armor” who will protect you from all evil and save you from all of the heartache of traveling the path alone. He comes to you disguised as a SAVIOR and your heat instantly is his. You do anything for this man and believe anything this man says to you, because in your heart you truly have put all your faith in this man as your knight. Nothing he does or says is ever wrong in your eyes. You will go to war with anyone for this man. He will “protect” you from all ones who hurt you. You will cut off everyone around you without hesitation because he has convinced you they no longer serve purpose in your life.
