I AM ME MOVEMENT
I am a single mom of 5 beautiful children and I turned 30 years old last week. For the past 5 years, my children and I were the victims of physical, psychological, sexual, mental, emotional and financial abuse from my ex-husband. As a result, I decided to start what I am calling the "I am me" movement, to empower those who have left abusive relationships or those who may need the strength to get away. I am human and I feel like anyone does. If you cut me, do I not bleed? Yes I do. If you hit me, the bruises may not appear on the outside, but they are there on the inside.

Being The Best Version of Myself
It all happened in the residence building where I was an RA. Thanks to my two years of learning intensive Chinese, I was placed in the hall with a mixture of Chinese exchange students and fellow Chinese language learners. At first I was excited about this. I thought I'd make plenty of new friends and get to improve my Chinese.

DIGITAL DETOX
People spend endless hours staring at screens, tiring their eyes to such a great extent and not realizing it. Some of them don’t really have a choice as their occupation demands it and then there are others like me who are just binge-watching crap day in and day out or wasting away their time on social media ranting about some random issue, half the world don’t care about.

Phoenix
It takes courage to accept yourself for who you are. To be able to realize both your strong suits and your downfalls create who you are. It takes courage, To think it’s okay to believe that you are special, that you are beautiful, that you are worthy... because sometimes those beliefs lead to incongruence with your reality.

To Stay or Play?
To achieve anything, you must first be tested. You must prove that you are committed to what you say you want. Regardless of what you desire, or the lengths you say you’ll go to achieve this, you will be torn down, frequently. It’s all about whether you decide to stand back up again.

Why Every Writer Needs A Dog
A recent scientific study suggests that walking has therapeutic benefits that may even exceed those of running. Apparently the action of walking raises endorphin levels and this has a positive effect on the way we feel and our thought processes. For a long time I was a long distance runner over both marathon and ultra marathon distances. I was a lot younger then and eventually my knees sat me down and had a long chat. Basically, they explained, I could continue running if I insisted, but that they were simply not going to participate. To soften the blow, they suggested that they would be prepared to participate in as much walking as I wanted to do.

Leader of the Pack
Hello dolls, I’m put my inspirational hat back on😂. Thank you for letting me vent last week. This week’s post is about being a leader by knowing the difference between a LOSS & a LESSON. It is so important because you have the younger generation (your kids, nieces, nephews, & little cousins) looking up to you and the legacy you are going to leave behind. Show them that it is okay to fuck up but get up and do better, cause that’s what real BOSSES do!

Trial and Error
We are all born with the inability to function on our own, we are open and vulnerable to the world in hopes someone will care for us. Needing someone to lean on in order to survive because as newborns we cannot adapt to the new responsibilities of life. We have a clean slate, unmarked and ready for the world to make its first imprint. As we grow older we grow accustomed to the new realities, we learn and grow and celebrate the big milestones that are too soon taken for grated. We become fixated on the next step, the next stage all while not realizing that we are missing precious and memorable moments.

What Do You Want The Power To Do?
What do you want the power to do? That is well known banks advertising slogan and branding. An interesting question that we probably have been asked in one form or another. Maybe as kids we talked about what superpower we would want to have. Perhaps we’ve played the game Would You Rather.
