The Difference Between Quitting and Failing
Failure is an overused term nowadays and people fail to make the distinction between actually failing and quitting. It's much easier to tell yourself and others "I failed" instead of telling them "I quit on myself". Honestly ask yourself, "did I really fail or did I just quit on myself?" Only you can answer that question and I believe, more often than not, that people quit on themselves long before they actually reach failure.

How I Found My 'Thing'
Everybody has a 'thing'... right? At least, that's what seems to be the case when it comes to the world of online entrepreneurs. It may not be the case but after years of observing, the successful ones, seem to always have a 'thing'.

Not being first.
Wouldn’t it be great to do everything as you planned, as you imagined it, thinking that you were prepared for it all? That you could conquer the world, and no one would dare challenge you, because you were so ready, so determined to accomplish your dreams. That what we thought when we got to high school. Wendy and I had been friends for a long as we could remember, when we entered school we thought we’d go to college together, we even looked the universities together and looked to see what program we could enroll to go together, that did happen I moved to different city, did something completely different, graduated with my associates and came home to finish school with her. One year in and it is not going as planned, I am failing, falling behind, I do not have enough to graduate on time.

The Bus Token
In March of 2000, I worked in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for a non-profit organization National School and Community Corps NSCC. While working for NSCC I was also trained as a VISTA Volunteer In Service To America literacy specialist. As a VISTA I was asked to attend 2-day literacy training in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. I was enthusiastic and excited, to say the least, to get the opportunity to visit the Pennsylvania State Capital. The trip accomodations were already paid for transportation, lodging, and food by the VISTA state office. All I needed to do was show up at the 30th street Amtrak train station on the day of departure and meet with my team leader and fellow VISTA volunteers. I can not remember exactly what day that was but I arrived there on time with two luggage bags ready for travel. The train ride to Harrisburg was smooth, quiet, and uneventful. We rolled into Harrisburg, gathered our luggage and a van was waiting for us to take us to the Holiday Inn hotel where we would be staying for the next two days.
