It's been said that people that hate cats will come back as mice in their next life.
13 the Black Cat
First thing first, explaining the unconventional name. You see, I turned 13 on Friday the thirteenth. I went for a walk later that day, lo and behold, I saw two black cats sitting on a porch. I always told myself that was a sign that I was meant to have a black cat. Good thing I am not superstitious right? Superstition is fascinating though, even when one does not believe in it. Due to this fascination, I always wanted a black cat and I wanted to name the cat 13. I mean who could be scared of this cute little face?

Bailey
So let me start out with I LOVE ANIMALS, and actually have a ton... even exotics that when I tell people they're like, "Shut up you do not own one of those." Then I have to pull the old phone out to prove it but anyways. Animals, they do no wrong... except Bailey. Don't get me wrong, I love Bay. He is one of my male cats, the oldest one. He is so loving, really a great cuddler and always has to be by me which is great until he's under my feet or when he's meowing non-stop because I won't make eye contact with him or you know do something crazy like sleep in. I have three other cats (and just lost one) and Bailey is the only one that when I adopted him he was declawed. I don't personally declaw my cats... I hate it... but anywho Bailey gets picked on by all my cats because he is so nosey and the others don't like him all up in their faces 24/7 but that doesn't stop Bailey!

Growing Up with 30+ Cats
First of all, this is not an Animal Hoarders Horror Story. The cats at my mom's house were well-fed, well-loved, and taken care of. We lived in the country, and they had plenty of space. They went to the vet when they were sick. They were happy, and the ones remaining at my mother's house, still are.

Kittens: Cuddly Baby Cats, or Merciless Death Machines?
I don't recall at any point in my life owning a kitten. I always regarded them as adorable little balls of fluff, that would occasionally paw at you with a wannabe ferocious paw, or meow at you when they were hungry. I figured, like adult cats, they'd be a little lazy, perhaps stretch out with a yawn and sleep in the sun every chance they got, and eat anything meaty. Boy, was I wrong!

However, finding something that can be used on kittens and won't harm them is quite a task to tackle.

My Life with Xena
My time with Xena has been spent trying to make her as comfortable and as strong as soon as possible. Xena is about half a pound now at almost seven weeks old, and we have realized that she suffers from dwarfism. While her sister is small, small enough to where we considered dwarfism within her as well, she is almost a pound, and much bigger than her sister.
