Weed is Legal Canada... Let's talk about it
As of October 17th, 2018, Justin Trudeau’s promise to legalize recreational use of marijuana has finally come to pass. To many Canadians, today represents the historic end of a prohibition on a harmless little green plant. I do support the idea that government has been ineffective in deterring usage of this drug and we are better off with legalization than otherwise. However, I believe the government has many some crucial missteps with the role out of this policy in Canada. And more importantly, the disingenuous lie about marijuana usage that seems to be coming along with these changes is nothing short of dangerous.

The Boiling Pot
I grew up in these Bald Cypress trees, having spent the majority of my childhood on the boat with Pop and my older and only brother, Carl. I was raised in the sawgrass prairies, hunting and fishing every weekend with Pop. He taught Carl and I a route that took us from our backyard to the Gulf, and only on occasion would he venture out and show us different parts of the Everglades. He worried that we would go off on our own, get lost and not be able to find our way back. I used to argue this, telling him that the only way to ensure that we didn't get lost would be to explore the area. Pops declined and would hide the keys to his boat every time he left for a business trip, but Carl and I knew all of his hiding places. He would hide them in Ma's old shoes in the back of the closet, or at the bottom of the laundry basket because he knew that we wouldn't do the laundry while he was away...or in general.

The Different Ways to Smoke Weed
Let's start with something everyone will know even if they don't use it. The joint, a classic, has been a favorite among older smokers who do not have the lungs for anything. The only light illuminating you is the street lamp forty-five degrees northwest above your driveway, you making up words out of your license plate: five year debate, 5YRDB8. You think enough to want to write.
