Chaos President Has a Cunning Plan
by FRANCIS GRECOROMACOLLUDEN, Alternate Reality News Service National Politics Writer There is an old saying in the nation’s capital: when a President flaps his lips in Washburningdington, a dissident is jailed in China. Chaos President doesn’t understand the elegant mathematics underlying this phenomenon. Chaos President barely understands the concept of mathematics (part of the reason signing a business contract with him can be such an adventure). Chaos President just likes to see high winds topple governments to the ground—especially if he can make a buck out of it...

Dear President Trump
President Trump, First, thank you for running and taking on the enormous undertaking of MAGA. Recently, as talk grew about the large Powerball jackpot, I began to think what could be done with that kind of jackpot... like many others for sure. As a former term limited legislator here in Montana, I have some experience on how difficult the legislative process can be to navigate. Getting comprehensive legislation passed... well Congress has proven lately that is nearly impossible. The dynamics are so complex and fluid that even the most desired public interests cannot be achieved. While I could point to many different failures and problems America faces, I think one need only look at our debt to realize congress is part of our problems.

People are Struggling to See the Danger of the Right
Worryingly, I have seen more and more people aligning themselves, knowingly or not, with views of the alt-right movement, often indirectly supporting the views of Trump. There’s a lot of reason to want to be part of a seemingly anti-establishment movement and it’s important to understand the reasons for the rise of populism, but people seem too often to just be misdirecting their confusion to support public figures like Milo Yiannopoulos, because people like this appear to have a strong message and confidence, which is understandably attractive at a time of political and social turmoil.

Stand Up for Your Rights
What can one say about life? How do we measure our lives? Is it by our bank accounts? Is it by the amount of friends we have and our overall sense of popularity? Is it by the type of car we drive or the size of the house we live in? Truth is that it varies from person to person.

Getting Better Governments
A serious question: How do we improve the quality of elected politicians? Democracy is under threat from many sources, more so than since armed conflicts of the two world wars. Now the enemies are not openly fascist and marching with guns or Bolsheviks waving a red flag; they are far more subtle but just as dangerous. Now the enemies are those who control vast fortunes and seek, understandably in some ways, to ensure that all governments act in ways that ensure these vast fortunes and the mega giant international businesses keep on growing and are not hindered by considerations and concerns of the people.

Solidarity Against White Supremacy 8/27/17
I took a new friend to today’s demonstration at the Federal Plaza on Adams and Dearborn that consisted of an estimated 3 thousand plus citizens toward Trump Tower in Downtown Chicago. This protest was in response again to the Trump/Pence regime’s consistent indifference of not discrediting Neo-Nazi/Confederates for the violence in Charlottesville, while at the same time condemning counter-protesters as equally to blame for the bloodshed. Furthermore, the 45th president continues to show his incompetence and blatant disregard for Americans on a regular basis such as pardoning ex-sheriff Joe Arpaio, passing the ban on trans Americans in the Armed Forces and the delayed aid to the victims of the Hurricane Harvey disaster in Texas.

Trump Flouts Rule of Law
We need to be very concerned. My clarion call is not hyperbole. We are now looking at President Trump no longer hinting at flouting the rule of law, but actually legitimizing Mr. Arpaio's willingness to defy a Federal Court Order while couching Mr. Arpaio's situation as a witch hunt.President Trump has used this "witch hunt" label as a broad stroke in painting Mr. Arpaio a "victim." Mr. Arpaio's actions cannot be minimized in one small capsule. Let's see who Trump pardoned.

The Thing About Alexandria
In October of 2004, I attended Scott Air Force Base Elementary School in the Mascoutah Community Unit School District Number 19. My best friend was a boy named Max. My favorite food was a double cheeseburger. My best subject was world history. 9/11 was still fresh in the collective conscience of America and John Kerry pushed desperately against the rising tide of neoconservatism in the home stretch of the Presidential election. My most pressing dilemma? Which color to paint the shoebox for a diorama.
