My Favorite Thing About BEing Finnish
So, Finland is the happiest country in the world, four years in a row. Amazing, right? There are many things I love about Finland. The amazing social security, the rye bread and licorice, the midsummer nights when the sun comes up at 3 am, and Finnish people’s honesty. The total lack of small talk and polite chitchat when you really want to be quiet. And the natural social distancing we’ve practiced since way before the pandemic.

Neuschwanstein Castle: A Real-Life Fairy Tale
“Travel is the only thing you buy that makes you richer” – Anonymous Close your eyes and picture a magnificent white castle nestled at the top of a hill. You can see its glorious towers and turrets springing up through the mist. Picturesque snow-capped mountaintops and crystal lakes surround it. Many of you may be picturing the well-known Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland. After all, we see it at the beginning of every Disney movie. Perhaps you have even been there yourself. But, did you know that there is an actual castle in Europe that inspired Disney’s creation? It sits high in the Alps in southwest Bavaria, Germany. It is called Schloss Neuschwanstein, or New Swan Stone Castle.
