My Adventure in South Korea
Every soldier who has served in South Korea above the “No Smile Line” or the area north of the Korean town of Uijeongbu-si where the U.S. Army’s 2nd Infantry Division used to be located had an Ajumma and feared Slicky Boy. Ajumma is the Korean word for married women; however, it was used to reference Korean women who made delicious food for soldiers out training in the field. Slicky Boy was the invisible, mysterious person who would sneak in and steal soldier’s equipment. These two Korean characters were a part of my adventure in South Korea as they were for thousands of soldiers like me.

Chief Wildlife Warden JS Suhag has issued orders to open Chaurasi hut closed for the last two months due to Corona curfew. Dhir Singh, officer of Gauhari Range under Rajaji Tiger Reserve has confirmed this. From Wednesday, tourists will be able to see the Chaurasi hut. Gauhari Range Officer said that tourists will enter Chaurasi Kutia from 10 am to 4 pm only. In which the entry fee for Indians is Rs 150, for senior citizens Rs 75, for students Rs 40 to 75 and for foreign tourists Rs 600 has been kept. In this way the world famous eighty-four hut In 1961, Maharishi Mahesh Yogi took this place on lease from the park administration for 40 years for transcendental yoga. In the year 1968, four members of the famous Beatles group of England came here. The members of the group stayed here for about four months. During this, along with meditation, yoga, they had composed about 40 songs by staying here. This is the reason why foreign tourists know this ashram as the Beatles Ashram. About 140 domed huts and 84 small huts made for yoga attract tourists even today. Maharishi Mahesh Yogi left this place and went to Holland before the lease expired. After that the park administration acquired its place. Zoo, Botanical Garden and Waterfall open from today The Zoo in Nainital, the Himalayan Botanical Garden at Narayan Nagar and the Woodland Waterfall at Sadiyatal have been opened from Wednesday. The guidelines of the Central Zoo Authority will be followed in the zoo. Doon Zoo and Anand Van open from today Doon Zoo has been opened for tourists from Wednesday due to less corona infection. In this regard, the Chief Wildlife Warden and Doon Zoo Director have also issued orders. After the second wave of Corona began, orders were issued by the Union Ministry of Forest, Environment and Climate Change and the National Tiger Conservation Authority to close all national parks, wildlife sanctuaries, zoos and tiger reserves for tourists.
