Beauty and the Beast
The girl looks dangerously thin. When they lift her to carry her off the stage, the gurney jerks upward. The mother climbs into the back of the ambulance. You can tell she's the mother. They look a lot alike, although she probably prefers people to mistake her for an older sister.

The Gulls
Hailey trudges the edge of the playing field, picking litter. They should make the kids eat inside. A gull flaps down, looking for crumbs. Hailey flinches, remembering that holiday in Cornwall when a seagull did just the same thing: stole her ice cream and left her with a black-eye. The kids really should eat indoors!

Nervously did he stand amongst the courtiers, for this day was of great import; he was to present himself before the illustrious Queen Elizabeth I. His heart did pound, his palms became sweaty. His Knees grew weak, his arms heavy.
