My Life with Chronic Illness
I grew up on a small farm in rural Kentucky and probably spent more time in the fields then I did in my home. I ran wild in the hills and woods, and loved every minute of it. I don't think that I had so much as a cold growing up, so when I was struck with a mystery illness at the age of 21, seemingly in the prime of my life, my world stopped and very nearly ended.

Don't Hide from Your Condition
It’s hard to admit that something is wrong with your body or even your mind. It took me a long time to admit that I had vaginismus. Reading about it online, prior to being officially diagnosed, was horrifying to say the least. I couldn’t comprehend how a trigger, that I couldn’t even discern, was causing my body to be in physical pain. I would think to myself, “How is this a real thing and how can it possibly be fixed?”

Water—Is Liquid Gold?
The best way that I can put is that every time that we turn on the tap, or drink that bottle of water, wash off our fruit, with clean water this is a luxury that too many of us are taking for granted. "Ten percent of American homes squander 90 gallons of water on a daily basis." It makes me wonder what am I doing or unaware of when I turn on my tap or run my clothes through the washer. So, if you are anything like me I wonder how can I get more aware of our natural life source? And how can I do my part in preserving it for the good of our human race?

The Time I Was Diagnosed with a Major Spine Condition
Hello everyone, I hope that you are all well. When I was 12 years old I was diagnosed with Scoliosis (a curvature of the spine). This diagnosis came after I spent a week or two gardening at school, carrying around heavy bags of soil and other such things, which caused me a lot of back pain and stiffness. In fact, I was in so much pain, and found it so hard to move, that my mum had to start helping me bath again. Additionally, it was when I was in the bath and my mum was washing my hair for me that she noticed that one half of my back was sticking out more than the other. After noticing this she took me to the doctor who said it was probably Scoliosis but I needed an x-ray to be sure. So he referred me to a back specialist, I got an x-ray and was officially diagnosed.

Lavender Is Pretty Special
Calming Effect We all could use some advice in trying to stay healthy and sane in this crazy world, and most people are aware that lavender is incredibly soothing. It has even been used by dentists to calm patients, which is a miracle because it's impossible to be calm at the dentist's. Lavender is great for calming anxiety and helping with insomnia, it also improves the quality of sleep. Sleep is important guys. Some people have the habit of rubbing Lavender oil on their chest before bed, some put it on their pillow, and some even rub it into their feet. It certainly beats unnatural sleep aids.

My Life with Eczema
Unfortunately, I have suffered from eczema my whole life, as well as excessive dry skin, which makes the eczema symptoms exaggerated. On a positive note, I finally feel that at the age of 24 I can manage the unpredictable symptoms of eczema.
