My Mother’s Sister Was a Venomous Bitch
Wicked old lady

My Mother’s Sister Was a Venomous Bitch
Her tongue struck fast, poison in flight,
Every smile a trap, every word a fight.
I learned young to dodge her claws,
Her venom spread without pause.
She whispered lies in shadowed halls,
Knocked down hopes, built cruel walls.
Family trembled where she would tread,
Her shadow loomed, the living dead.
I vowed to rise beyond her spite,
To seek my sun, embrace my light.
She roared, she struck, but could not win,
Life’s fire burns where she had been.
Years passed, the venom lost its grip,
Truth held firm, no lies could slip.
Her power faded, hollow and thin,
I walked in sunlight, free within.
I found my voice, sharp, unbound,
Her sneers and hissings could not resound.
I shaped my world, a life to claim,
Her venom powerless, nothing to maim.
No legacy of hate could touch my days,
I lived in sun, her night ablaze.
The past was hers, the future mine,
I thrived beyond her bitter design.
