This Year’s Holi Is Not Only A Festival Of Colours But Also A Festival
Even though Holi or Dol festival brought happiness to everyone at the beginning of March much like previous years, this year is a little special. The colour of Holi is expressed as a symbol of joy and happiness in people’s lives. But basically, the Holi festival is followed after the Dola Yatra. Usually in West Bengal people celebrate Dol Jatra Utsav (festival) before the day of the Holi celebration. But if you follow the mythology, the history of Dol Yatra is associated with Shri Krishna.

No country for LGBT
There's new laws in Tennessee targeting the LGBT community. One law is designed to restrict where certain drag shows can take place. This law was created by the republicans. Senate voted 26-6 in favor of the bill, with only Democrats opposing. The bill is just a little bit different than a version moving through the House chamber. The other law (Senate bill 1) has passed, and it is aimed at care for trans kids.

The Great Stone Face
The Sabian Symbol for the 29th degree of Pisces is The Great Stone Face. I was recently researching the Sabian Symbols of the degrees of Pisces as Saturn has just entered this watery sign. Sabian Symbols are a set of 360 phrases, one phrase for each degree of the zodiac, intuited and recorded by medium Elsie Wheeler and astrologer Marc Edmund Jones in San Diego, California in 1925. When I picture this Great Stone Face, it gives me pause. It's quite an ambiguous image.

The Last of Us and The Search for Queer Dignity
As far as the game goes, the relationship between Bill and Frank is inconsequential. Bill is a toughened-up survivalist who sets traps, guides you through scary buildings like a good NPC, and makes you laugh by being unpleasant, but in a quirky way. When you leave him behind, you’ll either remark how fun that little session of Bill’s Town was, or you’ll just mindlessly move on to the rest of the game.

Not Getting Away With Anything
Hello! My name is Calla, I use she/they pronouns, and I live in Los Angeles, California. I am the writer and creator of Coming of Queer. My aim with this blog series is to promote the depoliticization of queer folks like myself. I doubt very much that this blog will ever make it anywhere, but I know that it will make me feel better on a personal level. I hope you stick around and either demystify trans folks or find a soothing place to land for yourself here in these stories.

Violet Ends
Every night at midnight, the purple clouds came out to dance with the blushing sky. Avery tilted her head to get a better view of the swirling world above her. Her long violet hair reflected the colors that rippled overhead. She casually glanced at the sparkling stars which signified her impending and rapidly-approaching doom.
